360 Lace Wigs: A Full Hairline Without Full Lace Pricing

What 360 lace actually is

A 360 lace wig is built with a circular band of hand-tied lace around the entire edge of the cap, from the front hairline all the way around to the nape. The middle of the cap (the crown) is usually machine-wefted or a closure, not lace. That is the key difference from a full lace wig, where lace covers the whole head.

Because the lace is only at the perimeter, you can style the hair away from your face and neck: high ponytails, buns, and half-up styles look believable, since baby hairs and a natural hairline exist at both the front and the back.

How it compares to the alternatives

The 360 gives you the updo capability of full lace for less money, because the expensive hand-tied work is concentrated at the edge rather than the whole cap. What you give up is part-anywhere styling: you cannot part the hair in the middle of the crown the way you can on a full lace cap.

Who should buy one

A 360 lace wig suits wearers who:

  • regularly pull their hair up and want a clean hairline at the nape,
  • want more styling freedom than a lace front without full lace pricing,
  • are comfortable with installation, since the perimeter lace still needs to sit flat with adhesive or a secure glueless band.

If you never wear your hair up, a lace front or closure wig gives you the same front hairline for less. If you want to part anywhere, save for full lace.

What to check before buying

  1. Lace quality at the nape. The back lace is what makes or breaks an updo; check recent photo reviews for how it melts at the nape.
  2. Cap fit. A 360 relies on the perimeter sitting flush, so measure your head properly using cap sizing.
  3. Density. Because the hair is styled up, density shows; 150 to 180 percent reads natural for updos. See the density guide.
